Why We Built This
In the early days, we didn't have much.
No connections. No reputation. No warm introductions. Just a list of factories and the willingness to show up uninvited.
We went door to door. Most of the time, we were met with cold stares and polite dismissals. We'd leave a business card and walk away. Then do it again the next day.
It took six months to land our first client.
One client, full attention
With only one customer, we had nothing to spread ourselves thin across. So we gave that one client everything — fast responses, honest advice, showing up when things went wrong.
It worked. They trusted us. And trust, in this business, travels.
That first client introduced us to a friend. That friend became a client. Then they introduced someone else. Slowly, without much of a plan, we built a business almost entirely on referrals.
Looking back, that period taught us something we still hold onto: the best way to grow is to make the people you already work with feel like they made the right choice.
The conversation that changed things
A few years in, we started working with a client who made shoes.
He mentioned, almost in passing, that he'd built an English-language website and was getting enquiries from buyers overseas — people he'd never met, in markets he'd never approached, finding him through Google.
We didn't need to hear much more.
We'd spent years building relationships one handshake at a time. The idea that buyers on the other side of the world could find us on their own — because we'd taken the time to explain what we do clearly — felt like something worth trying.
So we built this site.
What we actually do
We're based in Tongcheng, Anhui Province — one of China's three largest flexible packaging production bases, home to over 4,000 packaging manufacturers.
We work directly with local factories to fulfill custom orders for food brands, pet food companies, coffee roasters, and e-commerce sellers in North America and Europe. Soft packaging — stand-up pouches, coffee bags, pet food bags — is our core. We also work with gift box and folding carton factories for brands that need retail packaging.
We're not a factory. We're not a trading company in the traditional sense either. We're the people on the ground who know which factories pick up the phone, which ones meet deadlines, and which ones are worth your time.
Why we write about this stuff
Most packaging supplier websites are product catalogs. Specs, certifications, a contact form.
That's useful, but it doesn't help you understand what you're actually getting into when you source packaging from China for the first time.
So we write about it. The real costs. The things that go wrong. The reasons factories behave the way they do. The questions you should ask before you place an order.
If you find it useful, we're probably a good fit. If you're just looking for the cheapest price and don't care much about who's behind the order — there are better places to look.
